The phone itself is high quality, with the following basic pros and cons:Star
- Bright 4.7 inch high resolution screen - the resolution is 1280 x 720, not as high as the most expensive current phones but plenty for everyday use
- plenty of internal memory for a mid-range phone. I've got 20 or 30 of my favorite apps installed and still have about 700MB free on the internal storage
- SD card capability - I have a 16 GB micro-SD card installed.
- Some preinstalled apps, but most are useful - There are preinstalled apps as usual, but most of these are pretty useful, ones you might use and won't mind having on the phone.
- Good battery - I believe the phone has a 2000mAH battery, plenty for a full day's worth of occasional use.
- Decent camera with flash - The camera isn't going to replace your point and shoot, but it takes decent shots. If you want a nicer camera, you'll most likely have to buy a contract phone.
- Front camera - You can video-conference with this phone.
- Good Data capability - I haven't thoroughly tested this, but I got several Mb/second download and about 1 Mb-second upload speed sitting in my house.

This is a great quality phone with a decent screen size. I was initially afraid it might be a bit too small. Although a 4 inch screen would be nice, I think this screen size is perfect. Not too small. It fits great in the hand.Star
Text Messaging is buggy. If you text more than 1 page of text, it gives you an error. Looks like a lot of people have this problem. I've searched countless forums about it. The only way around it is downloading a different messaging app. The only annoyance is that I can set the new app as my default, but I can't change the icon on the dock to go to my app. The dock icon just goes back to the default messenger. There are apps that change your phone screen and it allows you to customize your dock, but I haven't found one that I like yet.
Yes, the phone does come with A LOT of bloatware. I read about this before I purchased the phone. I read many forums and a group finally made the process easy. I am definitely new to the whole rooting process. I wanted to root my old Android phone but it seemed so complicated so I never went through with it. For this phone, there are some smarties out there that made the whole process so simple! Very few and simple steps. Download 2 files (USB drivers and the actual Rooting file), set phone to USB debugging, plug it in, execute rooting and you're done! Install titanium back up app, back up all apps (Just in case you delete the wrong one!), delete the apps that are not needed (List provided by the genius root people). SO EASY! I was a little hesitant in rooting because I was a newbie, but it's super easy and simple. The phone works just fine without rooting. It didn't lag or drain the battery. I went a whole day with moderate use during my work hours and heavy use on wifi when I got home. I still had some juice left the next morning. I only rooted the phone because all the extra apps annoyed me. I didn't want pages and pages of apps that I don't use.
Regarding that other reviewer that said the phone can't get network calls or texts while on wifi, I don't know what's wrong with their phone but mine works great. I was hesitant to buy the phone because of that review. I'm glad I believed it to be a fluke and bought the phones anyway. Network calls DO work with wifi on. There's absolutely no reason it shouldn't.
Very few lags and no "force closes." It has the perfect screen size and customizing is so easy. Battery life is great (I was afraid it would be like other smart phones where you charge every 12-15 hours). I am still heavily playing around with it, downloading and customizing, but I would say that I could probably get 2-3 days of regular use. For now, it's what I need for a price I can afford. The THL W5 is a great phone, Angry Birds Space runs just fine on the phone, and doesn't slow it down if I need to quickly look up a map or webpage. The system monitor widget is great - and it comes pre-loaded on the phone. I'm a little stunned at how much RAM is being sucked up by background apps running, but I'm working on a fix for it.Star
The internal storage for the phone is adequate. I've downloaded at least a dozen apps for the phone and haven't had a problem with memory being compromised. The battery life is good for me, but I'm not a heavy cell phone user. I'll text and surf the web, but not a lot of talking.
The network and WiFi connectivity is really good with this phone, and is also pretty fast. YMMV. I have had a problem with sending text messages. I would spent literally 5 minutes trying to send a message even when I had good connectivity to the network. I downloaded a third party messaging app and it fixed the problem immediately. I bought this phone and it was delivered within the 3 days that they said it would be! I activated it through my phone company and the phone itself would not keep a signal. It would say I had full reception then the next second it would say I had no reception. This would happen constantly so I contacted the company that I bought it from. They said it sounded like an internal component in the phone. They said to send it back and they would send me a new one. They were very nice and helpful. I have studied for some time this THL phones and plans now, this phone is very good over 200 U.S. dollars buyout phone. It has a powerful sound (headphones and speakers). The camera on the phone is very decent. There is no doubt that, as a good 8-megapixel Droid faster. I like T Mobile Wi-Fi call from home, it allows me to run my own WiFi system, GPS systems work well, this phone is very light, the smaller Droid (super fast, but the same screen size ), it has a better grip on the back of a texture. Normal use (remember not to load the phone with a lot of applications and gadgets) battery lasted all day. My Droid phone's work (including charger car charger), the screen is easy to see the colors are good. It comes with Gingerbread 2.3.5 and the scrolling is very smooth. I have this phone for about 6 months. This is my first time and I have no problem. I mainly used for email and visit some of the sites I like. My general complaints, I cannot easily uninstalled installed applications for low memory. Some applications will use the storage space. I will often " clean house " to open up a new memory for other applications. I have had this phone for 5 months, and it is by far the best phone . I was a little leary about getting a phone I knew nothing about, but I trusted my at&t sales rep and bought it. I have had almost no problems with it. I have way to many pictures and text messages on it and it causes it to freeze up sometimes but not much(which can be expected with so much space taken up). I usually just restart it and it is fine. Every so often I go through and delete things to give it a little bit of a break lol. I have never loved a phone as much as I love this one. I have dropped it on my ceramic tile in my kitchen and bathroom and it didn't even have so much as a scratch on it. I also dropped it on my concrete steps in my garage and again nothing happened to it. I have to say if you are going to get a smart phone (or any phone for that matter) this is the one to get. It has an 8MP camera which is awesome and the color is so vibrant I can hardly stand looking or using anyone else's phone. I have to say this phone has me spoiled. I Bought this Unlocked phone last month...This is my first Android phoneand i'm pretty satisfied with its performance,The call sound is pretty good and the speaker phone works well. It had good audio quality when playing or streaming music. The phone is pretty snappy even when running apps that are in the background. Unlike other reviewers I haven't had trouble removing the doors for access to the sim card or the battery. These doors are used for the wifi and cell service antennas so they need to be on when in use. It has good picture quality for a phone , It has a fm radio tuner built in but it uses the ear buds as a antenna so you can't listen to the radio with bluetooth headphones,I am glad I decided to buy this phone. I got this phone as a replacement for my old Nokia, and so far, everything was great. The initial setup went very quickly and easily. I was able to easily transfer all of my old contacts over to the new phone via BlueTooth, so I did not need to copy all of the contacts by hand.Star
The 8 MP camera is great, it creates well focused high resolution pictures that you can easily move to your computer.

I must admit, an incredible multi-task processing equipment and everything else. On the other hand, I look forward to high-quality, wider and thinner. For example, Apple's products, even HTC to build a solid material. A few months before I bought this phone. A mid-level Android phone and so cheap, I'm really excited. I think I have a tradition of android phone. When you have to restart your phone, 4 times a day, to keep it running, and you know what is wrong. Then came the revelation: I wipe out its OS / ROM phone and install a custom ROM / OS. I put the phone on CM9/Android4.0. You guessed how? Everything runs amazing! My wife has a Samsung Galaxy S2, my phone run faster than her. I have never encountered network delay or freeze GPS work flawlessly and quickly. To be honest, I switch between 10 different applications in a matter of minutes, the telephone never slowed down. It runs very fast! I like it so much, it has now become my favorite phone. I am glad that I managed to save it and save it, because now it has become a gem I really want. Only good things to say about this phone. The phone is so light, the screen is huge and vivid, system is fast and customizable. Camera takes tremendous photos and HD videos. Expandable memory is a big perk. I have had no problems whatsoever with this phone and Verizon's 4G LTE network is unmatched and worth the price. I chose this phone as my first smart phone and am happy with it. It's not the fastest phone on the block when surfing the web but it gets the job done. I found it to be intuitive and user friendly. My only issue is with the keyboard, but I'd have this issue with any virtual keyboard this size. Pretty much what you'd expect with somebody in their 40's learning how to use a smart phone. All in all I'm happy, especially when you consider that somebody with a $300 THL phone mentions how smoothly it scrolls, etc when compared to theirs. THe Phones Works Excelent, great speed, the cam get really great quality... Android + THL sense is a nice interface...
