    I've had this phone for about two weeks and I love it. I bought it from a Chinese wholesale site because I mistakenly thought thl charged for shipping on this site.
    Like I said, I love the phone...EXCEPT...sometimes it shuts off and I can't get it back on. I have to take off the back, take out the battery and reinsert it to get the phone to start. The person that sold me this phone won't respond to my inqueries on what could be causing it and what I can do.
    
    Can you please help? I love the phone, but am heartsick that I paid $250 and maybe it's defective. :(

    Android 4.2.x has an issue with Animations causing the screen to black out after some time. The work-around is to ensure Animations are set to 1.0x instead of 0. In stock Android build, there is an option for this under the Developer Options in Settings. See:

    In THL W8 build (20130418), that option is not present, so my device suffers from this Android bug, requiring hard reset 2 or 3 times per day.
